Amazing staff, facilities and prices (we booked on a weekday so I know it'll be pricier other times). Our room was ready early, staff were super helpful and the room, view and the winter gardens being right in the lobby was spectacular!

Never stayed at a hotel that was so hospitable. Hotel staff constantly took care of us and anything we needed. They really treated us like family and brought us homemade pastries every morning that just made our day. We really appreciated our fridge was stocked with water and milk every day. The restaurant's food is amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The rooms on the top floor were perfect for our stay and had beautiful views of Sheffield. The staff was so helpful at helping me get around town and give me ideas on kid friendly activities around town. Love the location of the hotel as well. You're in walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and Endcliffe Park as well as the downtown boutique shops. Matthew recommended us to visit Graves Animal Park and that was only a 15 minute drive and perfect place for children.

Partially located in the Peak District, Sheffield is best known as the setting of "The Full Monty" and indeed, vibrant Sheffield has everything: excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive athletic heritage.
It first became famous during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theater, The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 soccer teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.
Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodations include city center hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guesthouses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.
There is no aircon in the rooms.
The rooms are a claustrophobic worse nightmare.
A really weird layout.
Parking is over priced and restricted with no guarantee that you’ll have a space if you go out and come back.
The room floor gets wet after a shower and as it isn’t carpet stays wet unless you use your towel.
All of the staff were very friendly and polite.

I was visiting my Grandson at the University just for the weekend. I would have liked to stay longer to go walking in the Peak District. We did go walking Saturday afternoon but would have liked to do more.
Sheffield is a good base for visiting the Peak District. It is also good for Shopping and Eating out.
Would like to return soon.

Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit.
Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit. There's so much to do. It's a vibrant city with something for everyone – gigs, arts, countryside, shopping, people-watching. Very friendly to visitors. Plenty of trams and buses makes car-free travel easy. If you are travelling by car, allow plenty of time because it can get busy at peak periods. There is plenty of safe parking (try Qpark) but it's not cheap.
First time I'd been to a show at the City Hall, and I'm really impressed by the venue. Look up at the painted ceilings. Very comfortable seats, and excellent views of the stage.

The absolute chaos in the middle of town.
The absolute chaos in the middle of town. Why they couldn’t do one bit and finish it before going on to another part, I don’t know. There was only work being done on limited zones so planning could have caused far less inconvenience.
Also, it was very annoying that we couldn’t hail a taxi and had to walk through the cold and wet to get one and be inconvenienced by walking around all the scaffolding etc!
We loved the restaurants, however. Pizza Express was very helpful with our three small nieces and nephew. Piccolino made us very welcome and had delicious food. We also ate at Ask Italian, altogether positive.
The potholes and lumpy roads made driving around very scary.

We were visiting the Peak District for the second time and stayed at the Hilton as it worked out cheaper for the amount of time we were staying and is only a short drive away from all the countryside destinations we visited - around 20-25 minute drive
If you like a quiet, safe location that's the place, townhouse with plenty of space. Really lovely neighbours, much better area to stay then directly in Sheffield City Centre. Fenced garden with lots of privacy. Bathrooms with high water pressure, great. Two sitting areas downstairs, two big bedrooms upstairs, big kitchen with storage. Modern styled and cosy. Quick responding friendly owner Bethany. It's better to go by car there, as public bus service is often cancelled. Don't take a Hotel, you'll love this place :-).
Excellent rooms, spacious and very clean with great facilities. Everything you could possibly need.
Great location very close to the city centre though very quiet.
Upper and formost were the great team who work here Joe, Dave, Dan and Luke. What great guys friendly, helpful and very welcoming couldn't do enough for us. I'll never stay in another hotel when visiting Sheffield. The three cranes is a must stay cant recommend it enough 😃😃

Fab location, opposite the cathedral right in the city centre. Felt secure. One bed apartment room 6 - was much better and bigger than I expected for the price. Lovely bedroom area. There is cheap all day parking close by literally 3 minutes walk away from apartment, via "Bank Park" which was only £9.00 for 24 hours - very secure. Sat Nav "Three Tuns" pub as the postcode I put in for the parking did not work very well, and I was going round in circles.
Set in a commercial part of Sheffield really although we found one nice pub and nice Indian restaurant just 5 mins walk away. But there’s nothing else really. About a 10 min walk up steep hill to find central shops. Hotel reception was very slow on our check in on a Tuesday afternoon!!?? Only one staff member on… very long wait in the heat. Room was lovely and view from 7th floor brilliant. Breakfast was COVID safe and delicious!!!
Location was good just to the south of the city centre and the parking was close by. Communal areas of the hotel were nice, felt the room was in need of a bit of a refresh with the paint marked in quite a few places. That being said, it was clean, warm and comfortable. The continental breakfast for £6.50 each was great value with a good selection of items available. Staff were always very friendly and helpful.
Loved the little fridges on each floor with fresh milk not those disgusting UHT ones. Biscuits too.
Receptionist was lovely as were the restaurant staff. Food was good in the evening. Breakfast- found the bacon rather too well done but otherwise nice. Pretty grounds and near to Sheffield City centre.
Lovely hotel. Room was large and spotless. Bathroom was a good size and shower was good.
Only stayed one night and arrived too late to have meal in restaurant, but breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice. Reception staff very friendly as was the young woman serving breakfast. No complaints at all.
we have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past 6/7yrs.
it is a lovely place and convenient for Sheffield city centre and access to the Dales.
the staff are always very pleasant and helpful, hotel and grounds are lovely
Parking was convenient and relatively cheap even without the discount. The hotel is in a reasonably good location as it is only a short walk to the city centre. The breakfast was enjoyable and cooked well.
It was a lovely hotel but personally the distance from the hotel to Sheffield City Centre (especially when you are in Sheffield for a night out) was a bit too far
The location of the hotel for a city break was perfect, right in the heart of the city, conveniently located for bars, restaurants, shops and the university.
